Subject: 2012 Independence Day Message

To all Knights Party associates and supporters, I hope all of you have a joyous celebration of America’s Independence Day! Our Founding Fathers were instrumental in leading a revolution against the British, fought for and won by the men and women from throughout the states.

The colonies fought for independence from the British monarchy resisting to tyranny, taxation without representation, assert new found sovereignty, and exercise self determination. The constitution’s framers were attacked by the British for subversive actions against the crown, their families were persecuted, and they were forced to live a life of hiding until the end of our War of Independence on Sept. 3, 1783. Our founding fathers’ vision for America and the steadfast support from Americans is what made America a free nation.

This year has given us many things to rejoice and celebrate. The Supreme Court has recently upheld the heart of Arizona’s immigration law S.B. 1070, allowing Arizona law enforcement to check immigration status of suspected foreign invaders. Additionally, the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) had multiple provisions struck down by the Supreme Court and now limps along on life support in the face of overwhelming negative public opinion. A vote to begin the repeal of the Affordable Care Act will be taken on July 11 when Congress returns from recess.

While sharing time with friends and family please remember that we are celebrating a victory over tyranny and oppression. The 4th of July is a celebration of American military victory against all odds, and an affirmation of righteous rebellion. Please take time to celebrate in remembrance and commendation of the sacrifices which early Americans made to create something truly unique. America!
